Nature Shots

Last evening we headed out to watch the "extreme super moon" rise at 8:04 pm.  An extreme super moon occurs every 18 years when the moon is closer to the earth than normal.  This makes the moon appear larger  and significantly brighter.  On the way we got a few sunset shots on Lake Huron.

Later in the evening a racoon was seen cleaning up under the bird feeders.  We also saw two Flying Squirrels in flight and a couple of Snowshoe Hares.  The Hares are starting to lose their white, winter coats.

Sunday morning brought Redpolls to our feeders, as well as a Goldfinch and Hairy Woodpecker.
